What's behind the name, Conure?

I keep conures. If you’ve never met one, they’re small, loud, and ridiculously social parrots. There’s something else about them that I didn’t know about before I got them. They’re incredibly alert and they’re known to be formidable ‘watchdogs’ because of it. The more I thought about what to call this company, the more I realised how analogous conures are for software that is all about warning and protecting something.

This is the privacy notice for the Conure marketing site (conure.sh). It’s deliberately short because the site does very little.

What we collect

Your email address, only if you join the waitlist. That’s the one piece of personal information this site asks for. If you don’t fill in the form, we don’t collect anything that identifies you.

What we do with it

We add your email to our waitlist so we can tell you when Conure opens up, and occasionally share a build note. That’s it. No selling, no renting, no sharing with advertisers.
You can unsubscribe from any email we send, at any time, and you’ll be removed.

Who processes it

Kit (kit.com) stores and sends our waitlist email on our behalf. Your address is held in their system. See Kit’s own privacy policy for how they handle data.
Cloudflare serves this website. Like any web host, it processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and block abuse.
Google Fonts serves the typefaces this site uses, which means your browser fetches font files from Google when the page loads.

We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t run third-party analytics that profile you across the web.
